'Sophomore Year of My School' to be screened at Sofia MENAR

Iranian movie 'Sophomore Year of My School' is scheduled to hit screen at the 2021 Sofia MENAR Film Festival (SMFF).

The film, directed by Rasoul Sadr-Ameli, will be among Iranian representatives at the SMFF.

“Mahtab and Ava are college sophomores who go on a few-day trip from Tehran to Isfahan, along with a number of their classmates,” the film's plot summary reads.

The cast of the movie includes Ali Mosaffa, Pedram Sharifi, Vishka Asayesh, Babak Hamidiyan, Shaqayeq Farahani and Maryam Boubani.

The SMFF presents the best films, documentaries and short films of the Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa.

The 13th edition of the Bulgarian festival is slated for January 15-31, 2021.
